Rice Pudding 


  • One basmati rice

  • Ghee

  • Cardamom spice

  • Ground cinnamon

  • 2 clove seeds

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1 cup of coconut milk

  • 2 dates

  • 1 handful raisins

  • Sesame seeds for garnish

  • Honey for garnish

  • 1 mango, diced

  • Fresh mint sprigs and Honey for garnish


  • Rinse and strain a cup of basmati rice

  • Put a couple of tablespoons of ghee into a medium-sized pot. Add cardamom, cinnamon, and a couple of whole cloves. Mix in the rice

  • Add equal parts of water and coconut milk. About a cup each

  • Cook for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.

  • Add a few dates after cutting them into smaller pieces. Throw in a handful of raisins

  • Cook for another 10 minutes. This should be ready now.

  • To serve, scoop the rice pudding into individual bowls, top with the diced mango and garnish with mint sprigs, sesame seeds, and honey.
