Joy is one of ten positive emotions (love, interest, joy, inspiration, pride, awe, serenity, amusement, gratitude, hope) that can have a tremendous impact on us if we experience them regularly. 1. Think of situations or activities you've experienced that made you feel joyful. Make a list and write down as many as you can. 2. Then, anytime throughout the day, you notice you're feeling joy, add that situation or activity to your list. 3. After you know what evokes joy for you, decide how to fit those activities or others like them into your everyday life. Commit to one or more daily actions that will increase joy. Make time for these experiences. Remember that over time these increased positive emotions can have a tremendous effect on our lives.
